Klaviyo charges by active profile count. Each bracket of profiles has a fixed monthly price, and includes roughly 10x that many email sends automatically. Sending more or less does not change the price on its own; only your profile count moves it.
Klaviyo's own pricing page does not state what happens to an email send past the included volume for your tier. What is documented is that crossing a profile-count threshold moves you to the next bracket automatically. OnVoard states this plainly: below Unlimited, extra sends are $1 per 1,000 from a balance you top up; at Unlimited, there is nothing to run out of.
Klaviyo publishes no free tier in the data we have verified.
Not that we have found stated on their self-serve pricing. If that changes, this page should too, since a promo rate is never compared against a list price here (see the methodology below).
2 things. First, contacts and sends are 2 separate, adjustable settings, and the top send stop is unlimited at a fixed price, not a bracket you outgrow. Second, Klaviyo's price only ever buys email; OnVoard's All-In-One price is the same 2 settings plus every other OnVoard app, for a contact-rate premium instead of 6 separate bills.
