Klaviyo alternatives, priced at your numbers

Most comparison pages lead with starting prices. This one compares the same contacts and sends through each vendor’s own pricing rules, computed live at your numbers, not typed in as a claim.

Klaviyo pricing checked September 4, 2026. Klaviyo sets its own prices and can change them any time.

Verdict

The short answer

If you send often and want the price question to end
OnVoard prices contacts and sends as two separate settings, and the top send stop is unlimited at a fixed price. At 10,000 contacts and 40,000 sends/mo it prices at $55/mo against Klaviyo’s $150/mo.
If your list is small and you want the cheapest possible bill
MailerLite’s Comfort plan is the lowest list price among the vendors checked on this page, at the contacts and sends shown here.
If you want SMS bundled with email on one ladder
Omnisend is the closest match to that shape, with the caveat that its default sticker price is a promo, not the list price.
If you want one login for email plus non-email marketing tools
Mailchimp is the only vendor here that also sells landing pages, social ads and direct mail in the same account.
Where they win

When you should stay with Klaviyo

Under a few hundred contacts
Klaviyo's free plan runs to 250 contacts and a limited number of sends a month, free. If your list is genuinely that small, there is no case for paying anyone yet.
A larger, more established ecosystem
Klaviyo has been an email and SMS specialist for longer, with a bigger marketplace of integrations, agencies who specialize in it, and deeper native SMS. If your stack already depends on that maturity, switching cost can outweigh a lower list price.
You are already invested in Klaviyo-specific setup
Custom flows, historical reporting and agency relationships built around Klaviyo do not migrate for free. Weigh the migration effort against the monthly saving this page shows, not just the saving alone.

Klaviyo vs OnVoard, same contacts and sends

Same workload, both vendors' real published rules. OnVoard's number moves with a send multiplier you can also change below; Klaviyo's moves only with contacts.

Every alternative, at your own numbers

This is not a vendor's own claim: contacts and sends feed the same resolver that priced the card above, live, for every vendor with verified data.

The multiplier buttons set sends relative to your contact count (4x means 4 emails a month per contact).

Billing basis

We use the audience number entered above as the billable contact, profile or subscriber count for each platform. Vendors define billable audiences differently, and a real count after migration can differ.

Estimated monthly cost by vendor for 10,000 contacts and 40,000 emails a month, monthly list pricing, cheapest first.

The alternatives

Four Klaviyo alternatives, compared

Best for, how each prices, the qualifying price at the workload above, key limits, the strongest real reason to pick it, and one honest limitation.

OnVoard Marketing Platform
Best forEcommerce brands who want email priced separately from send volume, with an unlimited top stop.
Pricing modelContacts and email sends are two independent settings: $15 per 10,000 contacts, plus a send multiplier from 1x to 8x at $1 per 1,000 sends. 8x is unlimited sends at the same price 8x always cost.
Qualifying price$55/mo at 10,000 contacts, 40,000 sends/mo
  • Free plan caps at 500 email sends a month; paid starts at one contact block ($15) plus a 1x send multiplier.
  • Younger product than Klaviyo: fewer years of integrations and no third-party agency ecosystem yet.
Strongest reason to pick it

You send often. Below 8x the allowance is a real cap like everyone else’s; at 8x the send question goes away entirely and the bill only moves with contact count.

Honest limitation

No native SMS channel and no predictive analytics layer to match Klaviyo’s. This is an email and lifecycle-automation platform, not a full CDP.

Mailchimp
Best forSmall lists that want a genuinely free plan, or teams who also want landing pages and social ad tools in one login.
Pricing modelContact-bracket pricing across three plans (Essentials, Standard, Premium), each with its own included-sends multiple.
Qualifying price$109/mo (Essentials) at 10,000 contacts, 40,000 sends/mo
  • Sales-gated above 200,000 contacts; no published price past that.
  • Non-entry tiers are derived from Mailchimp’s own SGD/USD numeric parity, not independently re-verified row by row.
Strongest reason to pick it

Free up to 250 contacts, and the only vendor on this page that also sells non-email tools (landing pages, social ads, direct mail) in the same account.

Honest limitation

Automation and segmentation depth is generally considered lighter than Klaviyo’s at the same price point; we have not independently verified that comparison here, only pricing.

Omnisend
Best forEcommerce stores that want SMS and email bundled and are comfortable reading a promo price as a promo.
Pricing modelContact-bracket pricing on Standard and Pro plans. The price shown by default on Omnisend’s own site is a 3-month-prepay promo; the list price is higher.
Qualifying price$132/mo list (Standard) at 10,000 contacts, 40,000 sends/mo, $92.40/mo promo (3-month prepay, first upgrade only)
  • Pro’s included-sends figure is only published as “unlimited” at 3,500+ contacts; below that it is not published at all.
  • No self-serve annual plan.
Strongest reason to pick it

Native SMS alongside email on the same contact ladder, and unlimited sends on Pro once you are past 3,500 contacts.

Honest limitation

The headline price on omnisend.com is a promo, not the list price; it reverts after the prepay period.

MailerLite
Best forBudget-conscious lists that still want automation, on the cheapest ladder of the vendors checked here.
Pricing modelContact-bracket pricing on Comfort (metered sends) and Power (unlimited, fair-use) plans, each also offered at a lower annual rate.
Qualifying price$89/mo (Comfort) at 10,000 contacts, 40,000 sends/mo
  • Power’s unlimited sending is stated as fair-use, not a published numeric ceiling.
  • Smaller marketplace of ecommerce-specific integrations than Klaviyo or Omnisend.
Strongest reason to pick it

The lowest list price of the vendors on this page at the contacts and sends shown here, monthly or annual.

Honest limitation

Built more as a general email tool than an ecommerce-first platform; fewer commerce-specific triggers out of the box.

Methodology

How this page was built

Every price above comes from a vendor's own published, list-basis pricing (never a promotional price), matched to the exact billing interval requested (monthly compared to monthly, never monthly to annual). A vendor beyond its own published contact ladder is marked contact sales rather than extrapolated. Anything we could not verify is left off rather than guessed.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cheapest Klaviyo alternative?

At 10,000 contacts and 40,000 sends a month, MailerLite’s Comfort plan ($89/mo) and OnVoard’s Marketing Platform ($55/mo) both price under Klaviyo’s $150/mo; the exact ranking changes at other contact and send counts, which is why the calculator on this page recomputes instead of naming one fixed winner.

Is there a free Klaviyo alternative?

Klaviyo itself is free up to 250 contacts. Mailchimp, Omnisend and MailerLite each publish a free plan at the same size or better (MailerLite’s free tier includes a larger monthly send allowance). OnVoard's own free plan works the other way round: no limit on contacts, capped at 500 email sends a month.

Why would I leave Klaviyo if it works?

Price is the only thing this page argues about. If Klaviyo’s automation, deliverability, or integrations are working for you and the bill is not the problem, there is no case here for switching; see “When you should stay with Klaviyo” below.

How was this page’s pricing checked?

Every vendor’s ladder was read directly off its own public pricing page (see Sources below) and re-verified independently; a promotional price is always labelled and never used to decide a “cheapest” claim. Klaviyo’s data was checked September 4, 2026.
