Klaviyo, Omnisend and MailerLite each publish a real free plan at 250 contacts and roughly 500 sends a month, the same shape as Mailchimp's own free tier. MailerLite's free plan includes the largest monthly send allowance of the three. OnVoard's own free plan works the other way round: no limit on contacts, 500 email sends a month.
At a small store's workload (500 contacts, 2,000 sends/mo), MailerLite's Comfort plan priced lowest among the vendors we checked ($12.00/mo), against Mailchimp Essentials at $15.00/mo. At 10,000 contacts and 40,000 sends/mo the ranking is not the same, which is why the calculator on this page recomputes rather than naming one fixed winner.
Price is the only argument this page makes. If Mailchimp's automation, deliverability, or the fact it also runs your landing pages and social ads is working for you, there is no case here for switching.
