January 14, 2024

Both Google and Yahoo have additional requirements for email senders starting from February 2024.

How will the changes affect you?

This will affect you if you are sending emails via OnVoard.

For detailed explanation, you can refer to the above sender requirements links.

To keep things simple in this email, we will only highlight the changes you need to make when sending emails with us. Other specified requirements like adding "List-Unsubscribe" header are already handled by us internally.

Setup SPF and DMARC Authentication

If you are sending 5000 or more emails per day, you need to setup SPF and DMARC authentication. We recommend all email senders regardless of your sending volume to setup SPF and DMARC authentication so you will always stay in compliance with the sender requirements as your customer base grow.

Check your SMTP Profiles

We've updated smtp profiles page with optional requirements and checks for SPF record and DMARC authentication.

SPF record and DMARC will be shown as Valid if they are authenticated.

Both are optional requirements, but email deliverability may be affected from Feb 2024 onwards if they are not fully authenticated.
